Renames a named buffer.

This procedure renames a named buffer.

Parameters

buffer_name

Type: const gchar*

The buffer name.

The data is owned by the caller of the function.
The value is a NUL terminated UTF-8 string.
new_name

Type: const gchar*

The buffer’s new name.

The data is owned by the caller of the function.
The value is a NUL terminated UTF-8 string.

Return value

Type: gchar*

The real name given to the buffer. The returned value must be freed with g_free().

The caller of the function takes ownership of the data, and is responsible for freeing it.
The value is a NUL terminated UTF-8 string.
